We are happy to help with custom work, repairs, sizing, and anything about an order you have already placed.

Genuine stones and solid precious metals only. We do not use glass or plastic substitutes.

• Metals: gold from 10k to 24k, sterling silver, and platinum.
• Stones: natural gemstones and natural diamonds, plus lab-grown diamonds and lab-created stones when you want the look of an expensive stone at a lower price.

We tell you exactly what is in a piece before you buy it, and every piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Most of our pieces can be made in any of these eight finishes:

• High polish silver — the bright mirror finish.
• Satin silver — a soft matte finish.
• Hammered silver — a hand-hammered texture.
• Polished oxidized channels — polished, with the recessed detail darkened so the pattern stands out.
• Black rhodium plated — a deep black finish.
• 18k yellow gold plated
• 18k rose gold plated
• 18k white gold plated

About the plated finishes. Plating is a thin layer of gold or rhodium applied over the base metal, which is sterling silver unless the listing says otherwise. A plated piece is not solid gold, and it is priced accordingly. Plating wears with time, faster on rings and bracelets than on pendants, and it can be renewed.

About solid white gold. White gold is naturally a pale grey, so solid white gold jewelry is rhodium plated to give it the bright white color people expect. That plating wears too, and we can renew it from $65. See repair prices.

Yes. Every piece ships with a Certificate of Authenticity stating the metal and the stones in your piece, in our branded box with a pouch and a cleaning cloth.

Yes. That is most of what we do, and there are three ways to work with us:

• Custom jewelry design — bring an idea, a sketch, or a photo. We model it in 3D, you approve it, and we make it in our New York studio. The whole process can be done online.
• Handmade jewelry — rings, chains, and pendants built entirely by hand at the bench, with no CAD.
• 3D CAD design — if you only need the 3D model, we deliver print-ready files built for casting: STL, plus 3DM or ZTL depending on the software used.

We also size, engrave, and adjust pieces you already own, and we finish and set stones on pieces cast elsewhere. See our bench services.

Most custom pieces are ready to ship in about 1 to 3 weeks after the design fee is paid. Complex or stone-set pieces can take 4 weeks or more. Shipping time is extra. We confirm a time estimate with your quote, before any work begins. See our Custom Design & Production Terms.

Yes, and nothing is made until you approve it. We send you review images of the 3D model, and you can ask for changes (3 revisions are included). An optional 3D-printed wax model is available for an additional fee. Custom pieces are final sale once production starts, which is why this approval step matters. Yes. We engrave initials, names, dates, and short messages on rings, pendants, and bracelets, and we can restore worn engraving on older pieces.

Engraving starts at $20 for initials or a short word, and $40 for names, dates, and messages. See repair and engraving prices, or ask us to include engraving in a custom piece.

Use our size chart. You can wrap a strip of paper or a piece of string around your finger and measure it, or measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits, then match it to the chart. The same page covers bracelet and necklace lengths.

If you are between sizes, or buying a surprise gift, contact us and we will help you choose. If it still arrives wrong, most rings can be sized.

A few habits keep a piece looking new:

• Clean it gently. Wipe with a polishing cloth. For gemstones, use mild soap and warm water, then dry it completely before putting it away.
• Store it properly. Keep it in the pouch it came in, away from other pieces that can scratch it.
• Keep chemicals away. Let perfume, lotion, and hairspray dry before you put jewelry on.
• Take it off before swimming, showering, cleaning, exercising, and sleeping.

Yes, including pieces that were not bought from us. Ring sizing, chain and clasp repair, prong re-tipping, stone setting, pearl restringing, rhodium plating, polishing, and antique restoration are all done by hand at our Midtown studio, by our team of bench jewelers, with more than 30 years of experience.

Yes. Sizing down starts at $55 and sizing up starts at $65. Those are labor prices, and any added metal is charged separately. White gold and platinum start at $110, because they take more work and white gold usually needs rhodium plating afterward.

Not every ring can be sized. Eternity bands, some tension settings, and certain designs cannot be resized safely. Send us a photo, or book an appointment and bring the ring in, and we will tell you for free. See all repair prices.

Yes. Repair work is guaranteed for 90 days from the day the piece goes back to you, whether or not you bought it from us. There is nothing to register.

The warranty covers the exact work we performed: the joint we soldered, the prong we re-tipped, the clasp we fitted. If that work fails, we fix it at no charge.

It does not cover new damage, a problem somewhere else on the piece, normal wear, a stone we did not set or tighten, or work done by another jeweler after us. Polishing, plating, and rhodium are surface finishes that wear with daily use, so they are not covered either.

Checkout runs on Shopify, so your card details are handled securely and are never stored by us.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, plus PayPal and wallet payments such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, depending on your device and location.

Store pieces ship within 1 to 3 business days after your payment is confirmed, whether the piece is in stock or made when you order it. Custom pieces take longer, and we confirm the estimate with your quote.

Contact us right away. If the order has not been processed or shipped, and work on a custom piece has not started, we can usually change or cancel it.

For security we cannot change the shipping address once an order is placed. If the address is wrong, we will cancel and refund the order so you can place a new one with the correct address.

Free ground shipping on all U.S. orders. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days, and ground delivery usually takes another 3 to 7 business days.

Free shipping covers standard ground delivery inside the United States, with no minimum order. Faster paid options from USPS and UPS show up at checkout if you need it sooner.

We ship worldwide. International orders are paid shipping, with rates from USPS, UPS, or DHL Express at checkout. Every shipment is insured and you get a tracking number when your order leaves the studio.

Yes. Every piece of jewelry you buy from us ships gift-ready at no extra cost and with nothing to request: our branded box, a pouch, a cleaning cloth, and its Certificate of Authenticity, so it is ready to hand over as it is.

Repairs are the one exception. A piece you send in for repair comes back cleaned and protected in a pouch rather than the full presentation box. If your repair is a gift, just tell us and we will box it the same way, at no charge.

If an order is going straight to the person receiving it, or you want anything handled differently, email info@chcfinejewelry.com with your order number before it ships and we will take care of it.

Possibly. Customs duties, VAT, and local taxes are set by your country and are the buyer's responsibility. They are not included in our prices or in the shipping charge, and they are collected by the carrier or customs, not by us.

If you want an estimate before ordering, check with your local customs office.

Check the tracking link in your shipping confirmation first. If tracking has not moved, or the delivery date has passed, email info@chcfinejewelry.com with your order number.

Every shipment is insured. We open a claim with the carrier, and if the carrier confirms the package was lost in transit, we replace your piece or refund you in full. Orders over $300 ship with a signature required.

First check the shipping address on your order, look around the delivery spot, and ask neighbors or your building's front desk. Packages are sometimes scanned as delivered a few hours before they arrive.

If it still has not turned up, contact us and we will file a claim with the carrier. Please know that when a carrier confirms delivery to the correct address, the insurance claim is usually denied, and in that case we are not able to refund the order.

If you live somewhere packages get taken, tell us when you order and we will add a signature requirement to your shipment.

Refunds within 30 days of delivery, and exchanges within 60 days, on store pieces returned unworn and in their original condition and packaging. A store piece is any product listed in our store, in its standard options, whether in stock or made when you order it. Contact us first: email info@chcfinejewelry.com for a Return Authorization Number and the return address before you send anything back. Custom pieces, designed or made to your exact request, are final sale. Return shipping is the customer's cost, unless the piece arrived damaged or we sent the wrong item. Use trackable, insured shipping for anything over $75. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 3 business days of us receiving and inspecting the return. Read the full policy.

Every piece we sell or make for you is covered for one year from the delivery date against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. In the first 30 days, we repair, replace, or refund the piece, and we pay shipping both ways. After 30 days, we repair the piece or replace it if it cannot be repaired; refunds are not available after the first 30 days, and you ship the piece to us while we pay to ship it back. Normal wear and tear, scratches, accidental damage, chemical damage, loss, theft, and work done by another jeweler are not covered. 3D CAD files sold on their own are not covered. Repairs carry their own 90-day warranty. Full terms are in our one-year warranty.
